Our Story

In the winter of 2001 a group of like-minded and passionate pastors felt God stirring their hearts for the community of  Vaughan. After waiting for God to open the doors for them to begin establishing a church, together in faith, they placed an advertisement in the local newspaper in November 2002, rented out the gymnasium at Discovery Public School and waited to see what God would do. Beginning with a small group of people, God has blessed North City Church (formerly Maple Community Church) to His glory. 

We are now well into our journey and the realization of what God birthed many years ago.  The same anticipation, excitement and sense of purpose has never left us and we are as passionate about the future as we were when it all began. Our prayer and desire is that North City Church would impact our city, our region and beyond with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ
